Mid century modern 'Mad Men' office supplies

Unfortunately my office will never match Don Drapers but that doesn't mean that I still can't add a few 1960's mid century modern touches here and there. If you can't afford to fork out for original Hans Wegner or Eames why not satisfy your Mad Men urges by choosing vintage desk stationery to match the period.

No workplace in the 60's would have been complete without pencils. This set of original retro American pencils is available to buy at New Found Original. Style them in a vintage desk tidy to complete the look.

With pencils come erasers, this quirky vintage pick and mix selection is available to buy from Present Correct. Present Correct is an absolute haven of retro stationery, for anything from typewriters to notebooks.

I love this Tidy Ruler from Luckies. It's got a built-in pencil sharpener and a neat space to put your pencil, plus the retro 1950's graphics are super cute.

What could be more Mad Men than an original 60's Rolodex. I found this one on Etsy, but  you could also try Ebay where they come up occasionally.

Vintage Pyrex adds a great 60's vibe. I like the idea of using this shell dish to store paperclips and other sundries, another great Ebay find.
These bright red wire vintage in and out trays in red are a perfect way to keep your papers in order. Find them at Cow & Co online.

For a more updated look you can mix it up with some contemporary pieces. This 'Pupitre' desk from Hero Design Lab, Toronto is still in the prototype stage, but I really hope goes into general production. It's built to hide transformers, laptops and cables, and it even folds up if you need to move it out the way. An ingenious design which is very much in keeping with the mid century modern style.

If you're still in need of yet more inspiration, why not take a look at my Mad Men inspired board on Pinterest.
