New 'Way Out' and 'Stick it to the Man' prints by James Brown

Artist and illustrator James Brown has recently added some wonderful new prints to his current collection. They're strongly rooted in typographical pop culture with James artfully representing and reinventing the iconic 60's phrases "Way Out" and "Stick it to the Man".

James has an interesting background. Having worked as a textile designer for 10 years, he only decided later in his career to reinvent himself as an illustrator. It all started off with a few screen prints that he whipped up to sell at an Arts & Crafts fair at his son's school. The witty and imaginative prints were so well received that he never looked back. He's now represented by New Division, one of the best contemporary illustration agencies out there. Take a look at his portfolio here or you can pop down to his stall at the newly established Designers Makers Market in E8.

The weekly Designers Makers Market was launched back in April in East London and showcases the work of over 50 Designers and Makers. You can visit the market which is held every Saturday from 11am - 5pm at The Triangle, Warburton Road, Hackney E8 3RU.
