Glass Knuckle Duster jug by Nicola Zocca for DesignMarketo

This beautiful handmade Glass Knuckle jug by Italian designer Nicola Zocca, a graduate of The Royal College of Art, was commissioned by DesignMarketo. They're currently curating their first corner shop at the Barbican Art Gallery in London.

To commemorate the opening in April they held a dinner Based on the theme Spring and Sprouts, which gave diners the chance to see and experience their new selection of design products, crafted and commissioned especially for the evening. The Glass Knuckle jug was one of those commissions.

DesignMarketo acts as a platform to help young designers reach a wider audience. They work with a broad range of young and established designers and create experiential events; asking their network of designers to produce commissions based on a specific theme. Their work is then showcased at events such as the Milan Salone del Mobile and The London Design Festival. You can meet them now at their Pop-Up Shop in The Farmiloe Building for Clerkenwell Design Week. It's open until close of play Thursday.
